What you all think? Possibly worth using ngc restoration service? The detail here is really nice.

It's a nice coin but not worth sending off for conservation and slabbing.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Looks like a VF-25. Give it a bath in pure Acetone for a couple hours. The coin is not worth having professional restoration.

Pure acetone won't damage it if wanting to get it graded?

Pure acetone will not hurt your coin but why even consider sending a $20-$30 coin tops in for grading? The membership and grading fees surely don't warrant it.

It sure is...
Looking at the PCGS Photograde examples...what would you grade it at?

Nope...give it a try and retake some pics after and post...kinda hard to grade while in a 2x2.
Do a little forum search on acetone to better understand it.
Looking fwd to your new pics.

Well here goes - to be "blunt" - It's a high mintage coin, 21,404,984, and in a lower circulated grade! It is a lower grade album coin - that is all!

Ok...let's get to this question?
Why?
Why do you want to get it graded?
If it's sentimental...nobodies gonna stop you. We all have coins like that.
If it's other then that...you need to explain to us the reason/purpose?
Not trying to push you into the corner...just let us know so we can give you "our" advise...

Looks nice as it is, at least for filling an album hole.
