2023 P Lincoln Shield Cent Cud And Doubling? Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Ear Eye IGWT Date

wheatychief Valued Member United States 72 Posts	Posted 11/30/2025 9:45 pm Hello to all the coin experts! I see a spikehead die crack and multiple other die cracks IGWT... The ear looks doubled along with the lettering. Is this Machine Doubling or clashing of some sort? I could not find a Cud referenced on Cuds on coins for a 2023-P that looked similar to this... Also, on the reverse.. A matching Cud (bottom right) and die cracks with weakness... Thank you for helping me determine if this is some type of error! Report this Post to the Staff

Check out my link and see if you have other matching doubling. The areas you are seeing as Cuds look like gunk on the coin. That feature above the 'D' of God is what appears to be glue or some other type of gunk build up. It is not a Cud or a die crack. I'm not seeing any type of doubling to speak of other than the possibility of DDD ( Die Deterioration Doubling) or as @makecents states as WHD (working hub doubling). Collecting since 1972.
