Can't be a lamination error as it is a copper plated zinc core cent.

Cause I thought it was a copper lamination

It's not lamination and it didn't peel you would see the zinc core if it had peeled.

The new pic of the reverse shows some odd colors as if it were heated at some point. I would say the heat made the copper plating bubble up on the obverse. Just a damaged coin but cool looking.

There is certainly some platin issues here, I wouldn't be surprised if there were zinc rot underneath.

Impossible for it to be a traditional lamination as this is a zinc core cent. Something happened to the copper plating.

Possibly a plating issue. Is that 'lumpy' looking feature mostly raised, or sunken (incuse)?
