Hello and thanks in advance for the help. I've just recently gotten back into the hobby and learned quickly to only buy graded coins online :D

I recently purchased this one for, what I thought, was a reasonable amount of $350. When I got the coin today, I quickly noticed it was tilted a bit in the holder. The top of the coin appears closer to the front of the case.

I also noticed a slight rattle, not like as dramatic as a classic "rattler", but enough to notice a little movement if I gently move or shake the holder.

I don't see any other evidence of tampering or damage to the case otherwise.

Should I be worried? How common is this? Does it negatively affect the value?

Thanks again!

Nice looking CC - I've seen tilted coins before.

Yes, that's a beautiful coin, HackerJC! If it were mine, I'd try smacking it down on my desk to see if that would level it out. But that's just me.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Thanks! I tried the old desk banging... it took a pretty good whack and at first it went all the to the front of the case (whacking it face down). I thought that looked weird so I slowly tried to wack it back in the other direction. It didn't go down perfectly straight but it seems a bit better to me. I think I better just leave well enough alone if it isn't affecting the value or resell aspect.

Right, after all, the coin is valued by the grading not the positioning in the slab.

I had the same issue with a couple of my PCGS Ikes. I did this, although I wrapped with a paper towel to prevent marking the slab—or the table! Momentum is still momentum when the slab stops moving abruptly.

There is also a method to get coins to rotate in the slab, but I will just say go find the YouTube video for that...
