*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***Hello all! I'm very very new to coins and am going through my inventory of Wheat penny's I recently acquired and I found this interesting one! I was wondering what happened and if it's a valuable mistake or just a fun coin to keep. Thank you!

Looks like post-strike damage--not a mint error. Please post a full, large and sharp pic of the reverse. Thanks.

to the CCF It could also be a zincoin in which that would be a plating bubble that has burst. An accurate weight to two decimal points could verify that. In either case it is just damage and worth one cent.

That feature on the obverse appears to align with the 'disturbance' seen on the upper portion of the right wheat stalk (left edge of right wheat stalk).

To CCF! Just damage. It's not an error.

Quote: It could also be a zincoin in which that would be a plating bubble that has burst. It's a Wheat cent - no zicolns in 09 to 58 -
