Hello I have a 1960 penny large date variety which I need help with. The "9" on 1960 looks different then the regular "9" of a normal coin. Where it curves in and almost meets it self it looks more curved. Does anyone else see this? Thanks

To CCF! Looks like an over polished die issue on the 1. https://www.error-ref.com/thinning-...gn-elements/

I don't see anything wrong with your 1960 Lincoln Cent.
From your picture, the "9" has been hit, which makes it look that way...
Let's see what others have to say.

Looks like a die chip on the top of the nine and damage on the bottom.
There is no way it can be different as all the working dies are made
from the same master die.

Thanks appreciate being welcomed and the responses. Now I know what makes it look different.
What does an overpolished die do for the value of your coin does it decrease it?
