That flatness on the eagle wing could be a strike issue. There should be more there than there is, considering the entire shield is intact. Obverse easily VF25 or 30, but the reverse would need special dispensation.

nice circulated piece. typical weak spots. this is a tough call. the higher devices are well struck up. the stars, denticles, LIBERTY and look at those arrow tips! all depends on who is grading this one as to how much they deduct for strike. look at the cheek and bust line. very little wear on these areas. if this coin was struck up a tad better it could be an AU coin. I think it would come in netted to 40 or 45 no lower than that. you're not going to see a VF coin with kind of device development. I'm leaning towards the XF45 side as I would weight the obv higher than the reverse on this one.

Weak center on both sides, but looks like a nice EF-45.
