think a BU grade? Observe has me a little nervous perhaps its not my best purchase?

I think it is close to BU. The feathers in the chest and right leg of the eagle look slightly rubbed. AU58. Nice coin

I agree with the AU-58 grade. It's close to BU. Nice coin!

A light strike from some worn dies. Like you said about the obverse - lots of scratches in the fields. When you say you paid a "premium" is that a premium over melt or over a price list?

As a coin collector I believe silver stackers negatively drive our silver coin market. However as of late with current "silver rush" that's an arguable statement on common date and grade examples. No I purchased this Walker at collectors value. I didn't check values first it was an impulse $185 purchase.

Dang! if those "scratches" in the right obverse field aren't cleaning lines...that's a good looking WLH! I would plop that in my album and call her "GOOD"! I don't see cleaning lines on the devises. I think for the price you did pretty ok! smat

the hairlines across the obv. sun, gown on the legs and especially the right field can all be indicators that the coin was cleaned/polished with something. the coin would grade AU58 however the question becomes if those hairlines are normal from circulation. there is a possibility of a details designation.

Telling me what I was afraid to hear possible details designation. AU-Details would nosedive value. Sometimes the truth hurts, dagnammit. I'm now thinking its an album filler or a sell coin.

Not such an easy coin to find in high grade. This one has strike weakness at the centers and some faint obverse hairlines plus a noticeable hit next to IN. Luster looks strong. I'd guess it has a chance of grading problem-free 62 or 63 but AU-58 is more likely. Would look good in an album!
