Your coin appears to be a US Flying Eagle cent which were minted from 1856-58. Others will be along to confirm authenticity & value.

I'll tell you this, if, and I mean IF an 1856, which I think it is, you hit the jackpot.
The only distraction from going higher in value is the hole..
Looks like a VF-20, Red Book Value $12,250. Reduce because of the hole will still bring a nice sum...
I just looked more closely at this coin, and it might not be a hole.
Please upload a better picture of this coin...

Looks like an 1858 Flying Eagle cent, I can't tell if it's small or large letters from the photos.

Nice FEC! It's from 1858 I think. Need better photos to tell. As far as value goes, it wouldn't be worth as much as a problem free example.

The OP needs to take this coin to his local coin shop and have them examine it in person...

Matt - We need in focus images, properly oriented, to say much more than speculate.

I am going to take the 99.999% bet that this is an 1858 Flying Eagle cent.

Actually he just has to take and post a better picture. Not all towns have "Local" coin shops.

Wow! It's an 1855 which makes it a lot more rarer than an 1856!
