Hey everyone, I have a few coins I'm curious about, but first up is this 1914S Quarter. I think it's about VG8/10 ish but I've been out of the game for a bit. Curious what you all think about it.

I also go with a VG-8 (I hate to say "cleaned on older coins," but most are).

I don't disagree fundamentally with the cleaned comment CoinForMe.

This coin has spent decades in a Witman coin book so if it was cleaned it was a loong time ago, before my time. Although in general, of all the coins I've removed from the 1796-1916 books and have sent in for grading, rarely do they come back cleaned, if details (which many have come back) it's for a scratch, gouge, altered surface (they didn't like the rainbow toning from the book), I think 3 out of 50 came back cleaned. Also, if they are not key dates or not worth at least 150$ I rarely looked that close at them and I bet some of those are cleaned for sure. But they get to just live out their days looking pretty in the book and I don't fuss too much over what grade they might be.

Looking at other PCGS V8's in their database, I feel this is closer to V8 given the leaves on his head and the shield in the back. Just wasn't sure I was being to harsh.
