Hello everyone, I am Chengquan from China. I have been obsessed with collecting ancient Greek and Roman coins and all kinds of ancient coins in the world since my student days. I think their stories are very fascinating, and at the same time, they are extremely difficult to preserve. I pursue all kinds of ancient coins. I joined this forum today, I read the forum posts, and I feel that the atmosphere is very warm and friendly, I express my respect to you, I hope that I can make good friends here, I collect a lot of ancient coins, but I also collect colonial coins and ancient Chinese square coins.By the way, send a picture of my collection, let's discuss together, this is my collection of the Achaemenid dynasty's Segeros and 1/3 Segeros coin, which is a very good decoration pattern.

@cheng, first welcome to CCF. Second, with regard to your statement, Quote: I feel that the atmosphere is very warm and friendly thank you for noticing--it is something that try very hard to achieve. You've got a really nice group of silver coins from the Achaemenid Dynasty. Can you tell us more about the counterstamps on the three Siglos along the bottom? By the way, I've only got a single example:

Thank you very much for noticing my post, but I am not quite sure what the third stamp below represents. I only know that the stamp that looks like a rotating vortex is from India, and the other two stamps are not what I know. It is very interesting, I will continue to study and bring new ones.

Ok good to know about the chop marks. My understanding of this series is a bit limited, but there are several different designs, right? Is your collecting goal to have one of each type or are you just accumulating as many as you can? Or is it something else.
For me, it is such a recognizable and iconic design that I wanted a Siglos and a Daric, but I've stopped at one each.

Quote: you just accumulating as many as you can In fact, I am not attached to collecting every category, because I know that it will cost me a lot of extra money, I just try to collect some of the varieties I like, but in the collection of Sakastan in the indo Scythian Kingdom of, I will try to collect all types.

If you spend too much time looking at ancient coins, you may lose interest in everything else. It is a very addictive pursuit.

I have not one Achaemenid coin, but I am always open to new horizons. I too love to arrange my coins from time to time. At the moment I have some of my collection in a display case that I got for free at my local coin shop. Some of my artifacts:

The collection is very beautiful, and your cabinet is also very good. I think it is very neat and charming, showing a kind of extraordinary delicacy. @ChengQuan. Thanks for posting your lovely Achaemenid coins. I don't have any of these, but now am sorely tempted.
@travelcoin. A very impressive collection indeed. The high quality display case was a superb free gift.
