Okay so my girl is the manager at a retail store & some kid came in and paid for his stuff with a stack of half dollars & all of them were 1971-D's. She knows how I am about coins & brought them home to me & I found it extremely odd. Not that the kid paid with them (obviously stole them from a parent) but odd that someone only collected this specific coin. So I started checking them out and all of them seem to have roughly the same things happening on them however according to Wexlers list the errors I might be seeing aren't listed but the list is also incomplete. So what's the opinion of the masses here. Is it just wishful thinking on my behalf & the original owners or are they legit unlisted errors? The double eyelid & the designers initials are the two common factors on all the coins. Oh & there were 8 coins but in total. The two photos of the eyelids are of different coins but they all look like this & same with the "FG". The ones on Wexlers list don't show these same flaws. So I came here to ask all of you before I spent them lol

What you are seeing on both the Eye and the FG are Machine Doubling. You will find the MD and DDD quite common on the Kennedies in the 70s due to over worked dies by minting millions of coins. But you might want to look for doubled die on these coin. both on obverse and reverse. Check out the links below for varieties on 71D
