Opinion On Grade For Flying Ealge Cent

Napoleon31ft Pillar of the Community United States 528 Posts	Posted 06/16/2009 3:06 pm I am thinking about getting this one for my 7070 and I am wondering what you guys think on its grade. Its the 1858 Large Letters Type Two (Low Leaves, Closed 2). The reverse picture is pretty good but I tried to get a few of the obverse so the detail in the feathers can be seen well. GRADE? Also the last picture best resembles what it looks like. There is no much lighting in the first two. The scratch below the beak is normally not that visible. I personally like Flying Eagle cents a lot, a very attractive coin. What you have there is an attractive example of the piece, yet upgradable if you choose to do so in the future, so it will fit nice in a type set. Report this Post to the Staff

My only experience with this coin is that I found my first one a couple weeks ago with the machine. I'll give the Ob a 40, and the Rev a 25. Thanks for letting me play. BTW- I like it! I'm putting in some better photos. The first ones didnt do it justice. Report this Post to the Staff
