Relates to me recently going over some old vicky coins with a new microscope camera and noticing an anomaly on a date from the Heaton mint which shows up on the next (and following) years on issues from the RCM.

Question is, would the Heaton mint had ever transferred hubs/dies etc to the RCM?

Not sure what you are referring to. The RCM did not start producing coins
until 1907, long after Queen Victoria's death. Earlier coins were minted by
The Royal Mint or the Heaton Mint.

Never.
The RM supplied the Heaton mint.
Possible some obverse dies may have been returned and reused but nothing had it's origins at the Heaton mint.

Thankyou.

I assumed they started at Heaton and went to Royal as the anomaly is first seen at Heaton.
Still lots more examples to check.

Cheers

The sources of the matrices, punches, and dies for the entire Victorian series were documented in detail in "Dominion Decimals," available from the RCNA.
