In a PCI MS62BN holder. As I can't find another anywhere, can I assume it may be fake? It doesn't look right to me.

What makes you think it's fake? I'm a little skeptical of the MS grade, but who would fake a Cud? Are these ebay pics or your pics?

It is Fake! PCI can not be trusted,I think... they make the grades way higher than they should be, like that penny, its VF not MS!

And they can't tell the difference between a PMD coin and a error coin... heritage auctions said that.

As far as I can tell, the Cud looks legit to me, though.... the pic is quite small. Any chance of a reverse pic?

You are making statements about counterfeits and grades on coins when you don't as of yet have the knowledge. Every coin you have listed thinking it is an error has just been damage and you are nowhere close to be able to grade coins. As far as this 1944 cent with a Cud, it looks genuine to me. Here is a photo of another similar but different year Cud.

Quote: sorry, just trying to help We appreciate you trying to help but it is no help when you post misinformation. You are not at the stage yet where you can diagnose your own coins let alone others. As mentioned on one of your previous posts, study the minting process, read up on what an actual error is, learn the difference between an error and a variety. It is not something you are going to learn overnight.

This looks legit. I've seen many overgraded PCI coins, but -- so far -- no counterfeits in PCI slabs. I played with the image exposure and warmth a bit, and was able to get a decent look at the surface and details. If this is a counterfeit, they did something I've never seen on a 1940s Lincoln counterfeit: they got the 4s in the date correct. Both of the very different fours, in this case. I don't see any listed 1944-D obverse Cuds or pre-cuds. There is one listed reverse Cud. This could be a new listing, and a nice one.

Like this: Quote: Wait, how do you quote people? Copy and paste what you want to quote, then add the word quote within brackets [ ] ahead of it, and the word quote within brackets with a slash [/ ] after it.
