tropicalbats Pillar of the Community United States 6108 Posts	Posted 03/07/2026 11:19 pm Been tinkering with some of the older coins over the last year or so. This one is pretty minor but as it is the only known DDO from this date in Denver it completes the set! It is Class VI doubling and pretty hard to see much of any separation. The best spots to note the extra thickness are the right side of the initials and the lower tail of the first 9. It shows lightly elsewhere, but those are the pickups. Pretty solid die markers to verify it with the gouges at three of the date. Gotta say while it has some light toning, almost no marks on it and I've seen worse coins graded MS66. 1939-D Mercury dime doubled die - WDDO-001 Report this Post to the Staff
