Hello,

This dime is extra thick. Weighs 2.259g. Flames touching the S and also another flame is that doubling or die chip also on the leaf too.
E plaribus unum is extra thick looks like MD?

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

The weight is within normal tolerances - maybe a teensy bit thin, but otherwise a normal looking dime.

The dime is so thin to begin with, any little bit off balance is going to show.

I stacked them together. The bottom coin is the one in question.

Weight is normal. Looks like it has a bit of a Rim Fin which
would make the rim look thicker. Also that is Machine Doubling.

The reverse looks like a collar clash from k-7 to K -3 .

That dime is visually so much thicker than the dime on top, that it makes me doubt 2.259g could be the correct mass.

@Brandmeister I just confirmed it again. That is the correct weight. The obverse side just has a really deep rim.

In the last rolls of dimes I searched, I found a couple with super deep obverse rims. It seemed to accompany a relatively shallow reverse rim. Maybe the anvil die was too high in the collar, or the collar was badly positioned? Seems like the reeds are correct, though.

The reverse is definitely shallow.
