It might be, although I would generally expect more bubbles if there was this one. It could also be mechanical damage. If you could please post a few pictures of the edge of the coin, we could look for further evidence of how this coin was manufactured: cast vs. struck. Thx. Victor Pillar of the Community United States 900 Posts	Posted 03/12/2026 10:43 am That coin is fine and there is no real reason to question it. You can find all sorts of flan issues on ancient coins. This coin sold in auction in Nov 2025 for $1,068 and I don't believe that it has appreciated in value to the current price of $1,927.86 Edited by Victor 03/12/2026 11:22 am Report this Post to the Staff
