Here is a John Alexander and Michael Asen (1331-1371) silver groshen I think. It's 20mm in diameter and a little over 1.5gr in weight. It's the 2nd medieval Bulgarian Groshen I've picked up and the best of the two. I love the subtle toning on it If there is any further information you'd care to share please chime in.

Thanks for looking
Ben

Very simple my man. I just use a few mis-spelled keywords when 'searchijntg' on ebay. You'll be surprised at what popps up.

Take Care

I have one of those, but in slightly lessor condition.

I like it.

Ben - I see you are interested in early coins - I had an interest in Hammered coinage when I was in High School and the coins were still cheap. I still have a few that I have never identified. When I get my new scanner (old one broke) I will post some scans and see if perhaps you can ID any of them.

I also note you are from western South Dakota. It is beautiful out there. We have taken many trips to SD. My wife's father was born in Centerville, SD between Yankton and Sious Falls, but my interest in fossils has taken us to the Bad Lands a few times. Are you anywhere near Wall?
