It's essential to have it in the title. * I purchased several orders of these American Innovation Uncirculated coins from the US Mint last fall. One of the coins that came out looked different. It had different colors and textures on parts of the obverse side. I imaged the coin and sent it to John Sullivan for inspection. He told me it was a genuine strike through error and that he found a greenish substance which was likely grease from the press. I will post images. I have a folder with microscopic imaging I sent to the US Mint, but they are big files so I may need to create a new link. This was the first of this type I have found. What do you all think? Is this a genuine error or a stain? PCGS gave it "Genuine Stained UNC Detail" grade. Report this Post to the Staff
