Nothing special, probably been polished off. There would be many more like this out there.
See the top of the V and D are also weak.

I agree too - The VDB is raised on the die, and being so small, it can easily get polished off.

The mint goes to very extreme measures to guarantee every coin die they use to make coins is 100% identical to all of the others. In fact they all come from one source: the master hub. So when you see stuff like this it was either polished off a die to extend die life (happens al the time), the die was plugged with polishing grease so the design did not come out, or it is damage.

Overlook stuff like this and instead look for what the hobby collects. Get rolls of pennies from the bank, sort them by date and mm. Go to varietvista.com and find matches there. This is how to learn what the hobby collects instead of being sidetracked by things like you see al over ebay that are worthless to the real hobby.
