The Mint just announced presale for this year's World Cup commemorative coins.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Uncirculated Silver Dollar — $169.00
FIFA World Cup 2026 Uncirculated Half Dollar — $61.00
FIFA World Cup 2026 Proof Silver Dollar — $174.00
FIFA World Cup 2026 Proof Half Dollar — $64.00
FIFA World Cup 2026 Uncirculated Five-Dollar Gold Coin — $1,328.25
FIFA World Cup 2026 Proof Five-Dollar Gold Coin — $1,338.25
FIFA World Cup 2026 Three-Coin Proof Set — $1,581.25

The prices are definitely on the high side, especially for the silver dollar and half dollar options, but unfortunately this not surprising given recent pricing.

If you haven't seen them yet, they are on the Mint website here

Curious what everyone thinks. Are any of these are worth picking up during the presale, or is this one to wait out and see how demand develops? Personally, I am a huge soccer fan and will probably pay the (unreasonable) price since my country is hosting it!

I'm very surprised they've sold that many. I didn't think they would sell a quarter of that amount (gold) through the end of the year much less on the first day. Guess I underestimated the soccer community.
