I was recently going thru some older stash and among other things I forgot I had this and when I found it I was very Happy I bought this when I did.
I wonder how this would grade out, also any clue to the value of such a beautiful work of art, the reverse is just incredible and very detailed(probably why I bought it). Thanks for any input in advance, Mike.. PS: I usually collect coins and not to much currency!

I would say F. Is the back supposed to be faded like that?

And as a favor, would you mind putting up a really large scan of the reverse? I always wanted to read it.

WD, I did try to do just this and the site would not accept it as it was too big, I will try again, Mike PS: The back is not as faded as the photo suggests,Sorry, I just have taken some poor pictures, the reverse is amazing, the detail and art work is just wonderful!

I found a currency text, Warman's Coin and Currency Field Guide, I do not know the year it was printed ( can not find date ) and it places this "Grover Cleveland/ Train and Ship, in Fine condition at $100.00, XF AT $150.00, again I do not know the year of this printing. It does list coins up to the year of 2005!

Well, it says series of 1914 That's a start

The White Mellon sig combo is from 1921 to... 1928, so I guess the earlier years of those times.

WD, I apologize for any confusion, I tried to post a larger photo, but it will not go through, However this is what the reverse of the bill says:
"This Note is Receivable by All National and Member Banks and Federal Reserve Banks and for All Taxes, Customs and other public Dues. It is Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the Treasury Department of the United States in the City of Washington, District of Columbia or in Gold or lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank."

I hope this helps, Mike......PS: Also when I said I did not know the year it was printed, I was talking about the Book,Not the bill. please re-read the post!!
