Does anyone recognize where and when this coin may have been issued. I'm assuming it is Asian, but I'm not even sure what is the correct orientation. Diameter 2.4 cm. Weight 7.8 g

I'm reluctant to soak this coin to get rid of the verdigris since it most likely will attack the limited detail remaining.
