So now the Mint is offering the last two in the series on a subscription basis...I believe I will sign up, especially as being on dialup it's a nightmare trying to order at time of release. Anyone else going to subscribe?

mmmm........hadn't heard that !
I just might.......
But the LP2 is STILL for sale at the Mint, so, I expect they'll make 600 quintillion of the two roll sets for LP3 & LP4 ----probablly won't be much of a problem to order them at "anytime". And to "combine" the order with anything else to make shipping cheaper might be wisest for me and you just don't get that chance or choice with the "subscription program".

If I could, a possible order for me might be :
1- Silver Proof Set
1- Uncirculated Set
3- LP3 two roll Sets
3- LP4 two roll Sets
(and a dang 2009 Proof Silver Eagle if we even get the chance this year !)

So........I'd rather be charged shipping just "one time" versus "three times" for the things I want.

This I also did not read. I would say that my order should there be one would be similar except I would have a small request, that I again, did not hear about, YET, a box of 2009 P&D Nickels and Dimes, Other than that an American Eagle Proof or two!

I think once the Mint realized it has a "winner" coin, it is doing what they feel will bring the most $$$$$$$ for them. Also they can prepare for the Mintage #'s to better meet the demand for the public . I now wish someone would get the Brain rush and place the Nickel and Dime rolls up for sale and better serve the collecting community, but THAT would make to much sense, so would doing the collectors, Who keep them in business, mind this, I do not think so............

We need a collector friendly Mint Director, to help the cause, Collecting.......

Points well taken...unless they really scale back the last two in the series, you are probably right that waiting and ordering several things at once make better financial sense...by the way, I received a notice from the mint about the subscriptions-I'm subscribed to their mailing lists.

Why subscribe? The Mint is apparently going to make billions of these sets. At the pace they're going you might be able to buy them next year. Personally, I'm mad, they have ruined the collectibility of them by producing infinate quantities.

......... EXACTLY THAD ! ..ME TOO !...
I'm mad too.....but the Mint is just making that many so that "those who want them, can get them".......rather than make something in numbers that will have it's "collectibility" more interesting.

But of course the bottom line with the stupid amount of numbers of the next 2 two set rolls is......... P.R.O.F.I.T. !
They saw the "mania" for the two set rolls with the LP1 (realizing they were "unprepared" and "surprised" by it) ........then they saw the dollar signs....and then will claim "availibility" for all Americans to have them......while then driving the "collector value" down... down... down... down.

Let's see........if there's 170 million coin collectors (of all degrees and levels) as they say.......and each "collector" wants 5 Two Set Rolls of each design.......that's 850,000,000 Million of each design .....(just in the two set roll Mint packaging).......
AWWWWW.....WHO CARES !........THEY JUST GOT GREEDY UNDER THE "PRETENSE" OF "MAKING THEM AVAILABLE IN PROPER NUMBERS FOR EVERYONE"
