I REALLY REALLY like the circ bin....you can get some really neat stuff for 14 bucks...Someone bought most of the circs we had a couple weeks ago, so I knew all of them were newer arrivals this time when I took a look at them. I don't know how anyone could not have seen the E on this one ! This one might grade G-4 details, but the obverse has some gouges at Liberty's neck and the reverse rim is pretty weak- I guess would net it to AG. I am going to call this one a VAM 1A since I cannot see any clashing on the obverse and the "dome" is just barely there on the reverse . Have a Look !
Yes a 1A. I have a few of these from ebay picks. I don't look for the 'E' clash, I look for the other, more visible clash (that straight line between the olive branch and wreath. If you see that, there's an 'E' between the tail and wreath. Now go for the 1A3 with the huge dome sink!
This is one of the two VAMs I look for on 91-O's. The other being the 3A1 and 3A2 (Weak 'E' clashes). Key to finding these two is the die crack pattern on the obverse. I did find a VG 3A2 not long ago and am hoping an ebay pick from yesterday is a 3A1 in XF. If it is, I'll post both coins next week.
