Another cheapie ! I am figuring this one for a VAM 8, no clashing or rust pitting, so no 8A or 8B.

That's an 8A. The VAMworld pic in the VAM-8 listing is of an 8A; the O/CC is just a thin line to the left, and the more pronounced features to the right. All the pitting shown in your pic is the characteristic of 8A.

Thanks SuperDave, I like the sound of an R-6 better than the R-4/5 ! Since the pics on the VAM 8 Page are the same as the 8B, I assumed the pitting must be in other areas not clearly described, and I also assumed the pitting near the Mint Mark on my coin was just from the polishing and over-punching the Mint Mark ....That's what I get for assuming... Now I know why you are SUPERDave ! Thanks !
