I recently found this coin with some antiques I purchased. I am trying to determine the value and if is real. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

It purports to be a sestertius, like these, but I'm pretty sure this one is a fake - to me, it's got all the hallmarks of a cast counterfeit.

, to the community.

I agree it appears to be a copy made to look old.

Welcome to coin-Community AndyUSMC

Sap is right, on the obverse the coin looks like it has hallmarks of a cast and not struck, I can see on the circular rim of the coin with what looks to be made by a hand scraper or a single-edged tool used to scrape metal from a surface. This may be required where a surface needs to be corrected. I would be sure it is indeed a fake......
