I'm just trying to get a scan!

It doesn't even have the EURion Constellation and it's recognized as a banknote! Must be DigiMarc...

Wow, this must be the oldest note I have with digital counterfeiting prevention. This series of Swiss Francs were first introduced in 1995.

what were the security features? I have the same note, I see the holographic 10 on the lower left, the holographic 10 on the upper left, the magnetic strip on the reverse, the center 10 on the obverse, but the others escape me.

It's a nice looking note.

There's 8 non-hidden ones, which are the 8 on the side. You can see how it says A, B, C, D all the way to H for the features.

So, let's go down that list

A: Glossy Digits
B: Watermark digits
C: Intaglio (raised print) digits
D: Microperf (little dots) Hold it up against a light and you can see the light pass through
E: Color shifting ink
F: UV digits
G: Metallic digits
H: Latent image digits (hold the note tilted to see the number)

So that's 8... and then there's...

9. Holograms only (the small geometric shapes)
10. Kinegram, which has the numbers moving (it's not really a hologram)
11. Microprinting
12. See through register
13. Anti-copying guilloche
14. Security strip
15. Mark for the blind
16. Background color
17. The very special portrait which fuzzes if scanner resolution is too low
18. Paper, maybe?
19. Digimarc

I bet there's more... nevertheless, a new series of Swiss notes will be coming out August 2010.

The entire series has the same security features. I can post a pic if you'd like.

Wow that's amazing wd1040. That's my learn something new every day done. I have a personal scan of this note but not had any problems with scanning (and that's over 1500 notes recently). I use a HP F2280. I see you use a Lexmark scanner so I wonder if there is some software embedded to pick up on security features - but which ones? Have you had this message with any other notes?

Almost all notes now have the Eurion Constellation (look at the back on the 100Bt note, those are the rings near the king's head), but some banknotes including Euros have this hidden, so only machines would be able to pick them up.

I've scanned numerous notes, too, most recently a 2007 Scottish 20 pound. That passed the banknote checker.
