i was thinking about buying a fake ungraded and a fake graded coin from china to get an idea of what these coins and slabs look like in hand. has any one else done this before.

it makes me sick though to think I might be sending one of these losers a dime of my money

I refuse to fund their business and make them think they are in demand so they can make more of them. I would also be afraid something would happen to me and who ever in my family received it would think it was real (even if I had it marked fake all over the slab) and maybe take someone who thinks it is real also. Or them take it to a dealer that tells them this one is fake and then that all the other coins are fakes also and offer them some low ball amount for the whole collection just so they can have an example of each coin to show their customers on what fake coins look like even though that one coin was the only fake in the bunch

As with our grading services, coin stores, coin supply places, there is more than just one place that produces fake coins, slabs and many other coin related items. Ever wonder who makes all the plastic rolls for coins? The paper rolls for coins? Certain organizations folders and albums? Coin books?
I suggest going to a coin show or coin store and checking out where items come from. You may be surprized that so many of us are already supplying other countries our buisness with coin products. At many coin shows and stores they dealers take items out of shipping containers so the origin of that product is not known.
As to fake, counterfeit coins and slabs, ever wonder how many of us already have them and don't know? Purchased a good one as if it were real?
Ever wonder just who really benifited from the countries TV gone Digital? Guess where all the converter boxes are made? Guess where all the antennae, coaxial cables, connectors and digital TV's are made?
I'm just wondering when our government will start to outsource our coin production. And why not? China is alreaady geared up for that.
