Quote: eaglefoot: "Might just be the same odds as getting a 2009 Nickel as a Buffalo too !" Probably worse! ...and those who find a Buffalo in a roll almost certainly have Buffalo nickels already (that they paid more than 5¢ for)! I already had five 1938-D Buffalos in my collection (including a PCGS MS-65) when I found that '38-D Buff in the roll...

Quote: The number of Buffaloes I have found searching through 9300 rolls is 35 (1 per 265.7 rolls) and 21 Liberties (1 per 442.9 rolls). That sounds about right for me... and I've found War Nickels at about the same rate as Buffaloes. I've gotten one War Nickel from a customer-wrapped roll, but everything else has come from Brinks rolls. But cheer up... the odds are still a LOT better than they are for Indian Head cents :)

My mom looked through an entire bag of quarters once and found on silver one, an old Standing quarter.

I've searched maybe 50 rolls, and found none. I'm also a cashier, have been for 15 years, and only found 2 as a cashier.

See my new member post ..... I'm a nickel roll serach fan and so far I have been through 1460 rolls and found 5 Buffalos (4 no date and 1 a readable 1935).
Do the math ...... my experience says that Buffalo's show up on average every 292 rolls (thats 1 in every 11,680 raw coins)
HTH
Best
