I came across some nice 79 SBA's and some appear to be wide rims. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

It appears so. I've never viewed one magnified so much. It is easy so see the difference (even with my bad eyesight). On the wide rim the date almost touches the rim.

I am no pro but the rim on the first photo looks doubled or maybe it's a lighting issue so that would make the rim appear closer to the digits if that's the case then it's not a wide rim variety.

I thought that the number needed to just about touch the rim for it to be a wide rim.

It looks like a near date, actually the date was not moved, but instead the border was widened.

I tried dollars a couple months ago with a few rolls, and got lucky with a Wide Rim.
