Although the surfaces look "dead", I do believe it's authentic.

Choice Very Fine Details: Tooled/Cleaned.

The coin looks fine to me, I would grade it VF-30.

Looks genuine. Have you had an opportunity to weigh it? Genuine coins are 13.48g off the press and with this amount of wear this one should not be under 13g. Here's mine that now resides in a PCGS XF40 holder. You can compare the two.
