It's time again! Another code to break! This time it's for an 1921 P Morgan. It's nice! (XF +) So, all you puzzlers come on out! (I think this one is tougher than previous ones. BUT I have huge confidence in your Mensa tendencies!) The words and the sentences are separated from each other. Note: NO punctuation is included! ANY punctuation marks you see are NOT being used for punctuation. This quote is from an American poet. It is a 35 word quote with the speaker's name included. Once again, the rules: 1. You must have 50 posts to win. (If the one you guess correctly on is number 50, it counts!) 2. Guess as many times as you wish. 3. You may ask questions and I will answer them (perhaps cryptically of course, but truthfully). 4. I will post hints periodically. 5. I plan to run this until someone gets it! 6. The decoder shall explain the encoding in order to win the Morgan. (i.e., the code should be broken in order to win, versus a lucky guess.) 7. Unbridled and unremorseful jocularity and literary, button-pushing, fool-hardiness are encouraged! Huge props to the previous winners of my other code breaking: WpgLwr, Nod2003 (x 2 !) & JBuck! WELL DONE! Enjoy my brothers & sisters!

It is a bit trickier than my last one. However, with two of the three previous winners (Nod2003 & JBuck) already looking at it I have total confidence in this code being broken VERY soon! Good luck to all!

Why is it every time I check the latest Code Breaking Contest, and see Nod2003 has left a message, I immediately think the dang Code has been broken already and then start swearing?!! Whew! Dodged the bullet this time! Nod, thanks for letting the contest go for a couple days, anyway!

The way that it is laid out suggests that it's actually a poem. Is it?

Another Code Breaker comes in to do battle!!
Welcome WpgLwr!
Good question.
While the quote is indeed from a poet, the quote itself is not a poem. The placement of the words and separations are ONLY to separate the words and sentences. (It looked astoundingly confusing when they were only slightly separated.)
So, here I go! Helping!

"Man was put on this earth to eat meat...The Bible says so dumbbell...I mean look it up will ya? All them old bible peoples, they was always eating meet; soon as they found out eating apples was wrong...It's true, on special occasions: goats and lambs. Who the hell ever hear of sacrificing a head of lettuce? You?"

And you know what, ever since then, no matter how mad he says "dingbat," I always hear a little "sweetheart" in it. Edith Bunker

Well in them days, Archie was too shy to call me "sweetheart" or "darling," so he called me "his little dingbat." Edith Bunker
Obviously, I cannot do code breaking but the most famous ditz of all time was either Goldie Hawn, Gracie Allen, or No 1. dingbat Edith Bunker. I know I am on track with Carl Reiner as a hint.
