I had the task of going to Office Depot (an office supply store in the US) in Vero Beach Florida yesterday.

While paying for my purchases, I noticed that the cashier had some new one cent coins in the cash drawer. I asked if I could see one - she handed it to me and it was the new Lincoln Cent. I asked I I could purchase them from her. -

No problem she had 25 loose ones and a roll of 50. Wow
was I exited - First time I had seen these or held one.

When I was done I talked to the store manager and he told me he had more rolls in the safe if I wanted them.

I am now the proud owner of 11 rolls.

All purchased for 50 cents per roll.

Those of you I promised to send some to - they will be in the mail this weekend.

Good on ya! Were they LP1 (Log cabin) or LP2 (Woodsplitter) or a mix? They were probably Philly mint too, coming from Florida.

Very nice! I am of the opinion that as long as you only pay 50 cents per roll, then you have not overpaid.

One business gets some of the new cents and "The flood gates are open"? For all we know their bank got one box in, and now you have half of it. :)

Bought 10 rolls of 2009 LC2's from my bank. Even though I live in Colorado, the mint was Philadelphia.
