Honest, the 48 looks as if xf-45. Hair on Ben is worn and smooth. Reverse bell lines are worn and showing signs of circulation.
The 55 maybe a AU at best. I treasure Franklin Halve dollars and set up collections for each of my 10 grand children. Any smoothness on the hair of Ben on the Obverse show it to be in a Circulated or About Uncirculated condition.
On the Reverse when the bell lines have any smoothness or wear then this degrades the coin from ms/au to xf
For the best information I use the ANA grading standards.
