here is a 1920P, found in my own stored coins. the jar was fairly old, and may have been a "penny jar" from when I was a teen, (1960's). in any case it seems like a fairly decent grade. opinions are appreciated. (i wrote down what I believe the

It's in decent shape. An nice EF or AU I'd say but pics are not revealing enough, e.g. the wheat ears on the left.

The woodgrain is seen in many LWC's of this era. Not up on this but I think it was the alloy in the planchets that caused this to happen, along with certain types of storage. At least you have original surfaces, lol.

Not a bad find at all, by the way

Nice woodgrain cent, I'd grade it as AU-50/53.

Excellent woody! It looks to be what I call a "hard planchet", the details look a bit flat and incomplete due to the hardness of the planchet. Scanners stink for coins, but I agree with echizento, it looks to be AU.

I have to disagree. My general "rule of thumb" is that a coin must be worth at least $100 to make it worthwhile. This coin is worth < $10, therefore TPGing would not be smart.
