I'd grade it as EF-40 cleaned.

I think it probably makes EF-45 for detail but based on the color it likely has been cleaned. The long scratches (one each on obverse and reverse) hurt the eye appeal. FYI, the S mintmark above the tip of the eagle's tail show this is a San Francisco coin. These command a premium price in higher mint state grade compared to the Philadelphia coin but in this condition it is only worth a bit more than bullion value. Still, it's worth keeping in your collection!
Rest in Peace

I would agree with XF-45 or AU-50 details, cleaned. And not worth much more than melt, but a cool coin to just show people and whatnot.

Thanks for the comments guys as always very much appreciated. This is one of only 2 US coins that I have bought from this guy and have now found out both have been cleaned before I bought as I differently did not clean them. On both occasions he has failed to mention they were cleaned and just looking at them in hand they did not appear to be. So this has really peeved me off so I will not be purchasing any coins from this GIT again.
cheers
Bryan

Now you're ready to buy the US's most beautiful coin, the
Walking Liberty half dollar.

Not sure if it has been cleaned or not, but either the lady has a fingerprint on her head, or I have on on my screen.
