2009-P Log Splitter With Lathe Lines.

Found a couple of these with intermittent lathe lines on the reverse. My coins seem to be about mid die state, so maybe an earlier state can be found with more noticeable rings.

Possibly, but some of them appear to show an uneven curve. To be concentric lathe marks they would have to form perfect circles (or semicircles) nested inside each other.
Error coin writer and researcher.

Looks like some were lathe lines, and others could have been caused by some type of mechanical rotary die polisher.
