Here are some of my gold finds. I have found these over the years mostly with my metal detector but also by sluicing and panning. These are California and Arizona finds. Some CCF members have been patiently waiting to see them. The nugget at the 11 o'clock is the first one I ever found. I found this nugget just East of Wickenburg,AZ. I would have stayed longer but thunderstorms and lightning got the best of me. The tiny grey speck at 5 o'clock is a platinum grain I found while prospecting. I hope you enjoy.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing and "Yes, there's lots of gold still out there to be found."

That's great mate and as you promised you've posted them that's good to see and they are nice,It's a great feeling when you can see one sticking out in the sluice .

P.S. that's a nice solid nugget at the six o'clock

Thanks everyone! Like I said, the 11 o'clock one was the first I ever found and at first, thought it was a piece of melted shell casing since you get a lot of bullet material in the desert. As I cleaned it off, and felt the weight, I knew right away what I had :-)

Nice gold there. Looking for gold at least once is what I want to do before I kick off. That's got to be a pretty good rush.

Cool stuff. I wish there was gold to be found in NJ, but I have a feeling that panning in the Delaware River will be unproductive!

Thanks Mike! It is a pretty neat thing when you pull a nugget out of the ground. I sit there and wonder where it's mom and dad are! How far it traveled from it's source etc. You are obviously the first person to ever hold it so, yeah, it's pretty cool! I'm sure you'll get a chance. If you are ever out West, look me up and we'll go out :-) Gothic, the East has some very productive gold area but NJ unfortunately is not one of them :-(
Thanks daviscfad!

Nice finds, an inspiration to get up from my desk at work, look you up and try and talk you into going panning/sluicing with me so your luck can rub off. Took my daughter to the American River, panned all day, she found lots of color, I found lots of pyrite. If you ever need a second hand to help you carry the sluice, let me know.
