I just got back two coins I had sent out to ngc for grading and quite pleased with the results. I had sent out a raw 2009 Double Eagle and a raw 2008 Silver Eagle 2007 reverse. The eagle came back as a MS69 Proof Like and the Eagle as MS70. Because I never dreamed these coins would come back this high, I was wondering what the ngc population report is for the Double eagle. How many are graded at that level and higher. I was also looking for the estimated value of such pieces, but have failed to find sufficent information browsing through my usual guides. Any help is greatly appriciated.
Heres a pic of the obverse of both.

No idea on your questions, but those are incredible results!

I do no think I have ever seen an MS-70 on anything other than an SGS slab. Not saying they do not exist, just that I have never seen one.

I'm not an NGC member and do not have their pop reports but you can post on their forum and probably get an answer.

The PL designation on the UHR was your real bonanza. Many modern coins from mint sets will grade 69 or 70. A 68 is considered a "low grade" these days. PCGS has graded MS70 UHRs at a nearly 50% rate with over 45% of the balance grading 69. They do not designate PL however and you may have a significant windfall on that count alone.
