Anyone out there with a knowldege of Japanese tokens or coins help with this,it came in an album I bought last week and I have no idea what it might be,approx 1.5 grams and 1 inch long,thanks for anyone that can help

I believe it's not a coin. Sure, there were rectangular Japanese gold and silver coins, but none of them looked like this.

Yeah... looks like a shu, but its denomination is "fen," and the strike quality looks very very modern.
