Hi to all,
I see coins for sale that are listed in a PCGS holder but have no rating or year. The holder says " Morgan silver dollar The American Classic Brilliant Uncirculated". What is it? Why no number grade?
How are you supposed to know what you are buying? Thanks for any help, Wally

Post a photo of the PCGS holders. Are you sure it is PCGS?

Yes... I've seen these before, only from mass dealers like HSN :(

I think these are for ultra-bulk submissions and are cheaper to submit since they have no grade.

wd1040 has it right, coins like that are from low cost bulk submissions(i.e. several hundred to several thousand coins) used for marketing purposes. Basically, the coin would be a minimum of MS-60 but could be higher.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here is a pic of front. PCGS logo is on back. It is definitely PCGS. Wally

Yeah... it was senior year and summer right now. But sadly when college starts I might not have much more time :(

Also, I think PCGS BU is only for bullion coins.

Hi all, Did not follow instructions yesterday on use of special characters. Hopefully, I have an image of the unrated PCGS Morgan. I did not attach image of back but it is a PCGS logo with hologram. Thanks, Wally
