Can you recomend some airties for silver bullion coins American Silver Eagles and Canadian Silver Maple Leafs? Do the coins rattle inside the airtite? Should I leave the maple leafs in the original plastic?

I buy 40mm airtites with the soft ring inside. I don't care for direct fit airtites. You can get airtites through about any dealer but if you wish to buy quite a few you can buy direct from the manufacturer in bulk. I think the last time my wife and I did that we purchased around 200 airtites for Morgan dollars and saved about half what we would have paid from a dealer.

Do the coins rattle around or slide around in an airtite?

Once inside the airtite, they don't move.

And this goes for both direct fit and the ringed airtites?

I use airtite with the rings inside and I am very happy with them and no they do not move at all. I have my ASE and Maple leaf and my other Bullion dollar in airtite holders

The original Canadian plastic is quiet hard and brittle
This means there probably is no adapate plasticizer
and no danger to the coins

My friend says he does not like insert rings because he saw coins that were discolored by the rings ( rings were probably 10 years old os so and like with the early soft pvc flips they probably made a mistake in early insers coloring them blue and red with the wrong deyes containing sulphuric colors or some such )
