Is that what it means when folks talk about late die state(LDS)? cladking Pillar of the Community United States 2270 Posts	Posted 07/25/2009 01:22 am It looks more like it was poorly hubbed. This is a common problem with this date and many from the era. It can be difficult to tell bad hubbing from worn master dies and from experience I'm sure this is a combination of these two. It's later die state but it shouldn't be hard to find one much later than this. The '70-D's were often struck with heavily worn dies as were the '66's and to a lesser extent the '65's.
