Picked this up today off ebay and wondered if it's the "L" version or not. Wasn't sure and the price was right. Don't have in hand yet but am putting together a circulation set so it fits either way.

would need to see a close up picture of the head band to know if there is a L in there or not

that looks like the no L
The ones with the L have a pointed bust.

I will show where the L is supposed to be if its there, maybe you can look yourself with magnification to see if you see one (the one pictures is a Large "L" over Small "L" but still the same place

Can't miss it on your coin. I was just shooting for a bronze coin to fill a slot. If it has an L that would be a bonus. I have a feeling that if this coin had an L like it disappeared long ago from circulation. This brings up the question of is it an L coin even if the L has been worn off?

no L.

The L has a pointed bust, as mentioned above.

Yes, agree, this is the no L version because of the rounded bust.
