here is the first time I an asking about a DDO extra eye lid. up until now I have looked at the eye area, and have never seen anything which might be the doubled eyelid. this one is my first "possible" one. I spent some time in my previous post, asking about the die markers. I have found five confirmed RPMS's, and the die markers are not present on ANY of them. here is another example with the same, issue. the mark

1953-D-DDO-002-Questions. to the south of the eyelid appears the same as the photos on "coppercoins" site, and the mint mark looks similar, however the other die markers are not there. help identifying if I have found and identified the coin correctly, or have another "miss". thanks.

It was so nice I bought more from the same seller. He put them up one roll at a time.

Many times die markers might not be visible on moderately worn examples. They may also not show up on any brown coin if they are small enough. The best thing to do when you have a mintmarked coin is to check the exact position of the mintmark and judge what you have from there. That's your best and most obvious marker, and the first thing I would look at if the coin were sent to me.

Try posting an image pulled out a little. I see what you are looking at, but not sure if it is raised, gouged or or hit. A lot of activity in that area magnified to much. So I'm not sure what it is?
