I think it depends on the final mintage, the price of gold, and if they are going to make them every year. I don't know if they are planning on making them in future years or not. it is also going to be interesting to see if the gold and silver eagles demand higher prices as the mint has stopped production because of lack of gold and silver blanks

The original legislation says that they will be minted for 2009 only according to demand, but any extras available (also with the 2009 date) will be sold into 2010

In my opinion, the true price of silver and gold are unknown. There are so many factors involved when your looking at the most trusted Spot Price of the NY Stock Exchange, Kitco, ect.. It seems to me that whenever a person, institution, or higher has a personal interest in the results, the results tend to lean in the favor of those who have interest. This is not an accusations, just my opinion.
That being said, I do believe the premiums on such bullion coins such as Gold and Silver Eagles will continue to grow in relation to Spot Prices. I invest in Gold and Silver Eagles. 1.) I think they're a great investment and 2.) I love Lady Liberty...it's one of my favorite designs.

I think the only way to know is the sale number, which should be...80k, no?
One more thing, the limit has been increased to 10 per household. True to my word, I will now start looking for one on the secondary market.

Wow! $200 ain't a small number! I wonder why they buy it on ebay, then. I'd wait a month or so to save $200...

I dont understand either. You can get a 2009 proof set from the mint for $30 but people pay $40 to get it off ebay. makes no sense
