2009 Silver Eagle Proof Coins

According to Coin World's issue #2573 on page 10:

Production of collector versions of 2009-W American Eagle silver coins will start once the U.S. Mint builds a sufficient inventory of planchets. According to Thomas Jurkowsky, director of the Mint's Office of Public Affairs, production of Proof and Uncirculated 2009-W American Eagle silver coins will begin once the Mint has a sufficient inventory of 1-once .999 silver planchets.

Instead of waiting for the Mint to announce the dates these will be available, I am on the subscription list. Under 'Availability' they are showing 'In Stock', but NO shipping date.

Price showing for the Proof is $31.95 and the Uncirculated is $25.95.

From the grape vine I have been told Oct or Nov at the latest so get your subscription in. It maybe the lowest mintage yet or the West point mint might over produce the proofs for collectors and still have a mintage of around 800,000 by the end of Dec..lol who know what they will do

I think know that the mint knows they have a good thing going with us collectors and they will make as many as we will buy, which will be a ton this year if the demand is the way I think it is. Just look at the ultra high relief double eagle. They just keeping making more and more. You know the guys at the mint have to know that we are just drooling and waiting for the proof eagles to be released.
