peteloaf New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/13/2009 6:28 pm my grandfather recently passed away and I didnt know if anyone knows when this was made and how much its worth. the pic stinks but its my only one. the other side shows the three astronaughts. any help would be appreciated. wetglaswegian Member United States 917 Posts	Posted 06/13/2009 7:02 pm Yes,the picture is woefully poor and of zero help.One look at the coin will tell you if its gold.It will be clearly marked as such. There were limited edition sets comprising of 4 gold medals for apollos 8 - 11 ,these were struck in Italy ,only 2000 sets made. Much more commen is the gold plated versions.
